Tampa Bay fishing report

Fishing in Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico is steady with all of the summer-time species showing up right on schedule. Our charter fishing clients are keeping busy with Kingfish, Cudas, Bonitos and of course, Spanish mackerel. Take a look at William's first catch being in the Gulf of Mexico, nice mackerel! We were lucky to get a few of these big mackerel to the boat before the Barracuda got to them.

Friday's 4-hour fishing charter was a 4 boat corporate trip. Most of the charter boats went in different directions but returned to the dock, on St.Pete beach, with similar results. Our charter crew opted to visit some local wrecks for mackerel, but even more for the Barracuda action we have been experiencing. Unfortunately we went 0 for 2 on the Cudas. One fish went aerial about 10 feet before cutting thru the steel wire leader. We still caught plenty of fish and everyone was happy.

With nothing but warm, sunny Florida weather in the forcast, now is the time to book your family vacation on St.Pete beach in the beautiful Tampa Bay area. Fishing will remain hot for the next several months so book a fishing charter while you are visiting. Call Jawbreaker fishing charters today. We are ready to serve you. Happy fishing to ya! Capt.Dan
