NOAA weather reports gone bad

Well, once again, NOAA weather reports were dead wrong. I don't know what has happened in the past year or two, but the weather forecast and predictions provided by our federal government entities has been so wrong that it has got to be putting non-seasoned mariners in a prediciment. One would expect that NOAA is run by professionals, with college degrees, backed by billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars, providing the most high-tech equipment and machinery that money has to buy....but, NOAA has been wrong, and all too often lately.

We took our 6-hour fishing charter out to the 60 foot mark on Saturday with hopes of catching a big Kingfish, and some Grouper. Well, 2 feet seas were actually 3 to 5 feet...and choppy at that. Needless to say, it was a bit too rough to be productive and we decided to head in a bit, but once we did, the Grouper and snapper were coming up one after another. The flatline never got a sniff. The Kings have been evading us, or getting the best of us recently...that will change. Anyway, our crew of Mike Bartman, brother Brian, dad Mark, friends Mike, Chad and Bill still had plenty to eat after this trip.

The water was rough and that always makes things a bit more challenging. It takes patience and persistance to acheive great things. If you want a "guaranteed fish" fishing charter, that's cool...Good Luck! Jawbreaker fishing charters guarantee a great time-you choose. Check out Bill above with his great time fish. Happy fishing to Ya! Capt.Dan
