Meet the Farquhars

It almost feels like the wind has been blowing out of the West for 2 weeks now, but we finally made our way offshore of the Tampa Bay/ St.Pete Beach area on Wednesday....and picked up right where we left off. It was actually still a bit sloppy out there, but luckily, our client's request was simple...catch enough fish for a meal and do some inshore sightseeing for the rest of the trip, no problem!

The St.Pete Beach artificial reef was teaming with Spanish mackerel and it didn't take long to fulfill request #1...dinner plans were secured in the first hour. While we are here we might as well take a shot at a trophy fish as well. And, again, it didn't take long for a 30 pound Barracuda to join the party. Check out Jon West and and our new friend, Graham Farquhar, with the big fish of the day!...ooh Barracuda! That fish put these guys and gals over the top and they were ready to move into some friendlier waters. The beach was perfect. We trolled our way into John's Pass and picked up a few more, bigger, mackerel. Cruising the ICW gave up the usual sights that we 'locals' take for granted, but believe me, even folks from the beautiful hills of Scotland find these parts to be more like paradise,...they're right!

Good times were had and I believe we will see the Farquhars again in the future. Wanna go fishing, or how about a relaxing cruise with your friends? Call Jawbreaker and let us host your next day on the water. Happy fishing, Capt.Dan
