King James claims victory on sunny St Pete Beach

Once again, it was our only 'real' option to pull off a 4 hour fishing charter with the wind howling out of the Northeast at 20+knots, but Scott Dols, James Seifert and Blake Hamilton were all about taking a chance on fishing for a late-season, 'smoker' Kingfish....on the beach! This kind of fishing is not for the impatient angler, instead, it requires lots of faith...and chum. When you can't even see the bottom of the livewell you know the water is dirty, and that means you gotta get the stink out, and wait.

This would have been a hard trip to sell to our average charter clients, but these guys are far from average. We set out with only 3 rules: no drinking, no swearing and James must catch a trophy...again! Well, James caught a trophy, the other 2 rules were broken before we even got started, and these boys should be spending some time in confessional after this trip! Anyway, all in good fun and the fish were pretty cooperative also. Pinfish, Grunts, Black seabass, Gag Grouper, Pufferfish, Silver Trout, Spanish mackerel, Bluefish and...drum roll please....this giant Kingfish!...not bad for fishing in the muck, again! Check out my brother-from-another-mother King James and his new memory...a late season, 65 degree water(very dirty water) St.Pete Beach Kingfish. Way to go bro!

When the boys from Trucks.com and Waste Connections call, we deliver. Why don't you pick up the phone and call today...give Jawbreaker fishing charters a chance to brighten your holidays this year. And Scott, James and Blake...looking forward to the new year and many more memories, you guys are golden! Happy fishing to Ya, Capt. Dan
