Going solo on the big Kings of Tampa Bay

Just when we thought the King fish action in Tampa Bay couldn't get hotter-it did, and Jawbreaker fishing charters with solo angler, Doug Bookholt, were right in the thick of it this past week.

After the Easter weekend offshore fishing bonanza had settled, and most were back to work singing the blues, it was anything but a 'blue' Monday for the Jawbreaker fishing team. No my freinds, the only singing going on was the wailing cries from our Shimano TLDs and the victory songs following each and every King fought to the boat. After a 2 fish limit was easily met I taught young Will how to 'tail' and release big Kings. I have not seen a bite this strong in a few years, and the beauty of it was that every fish was a true 'smoker'! Check out Doug Bookholt and first-mate, Will, with a double header of big Kings caught in the Egmont Shipping Channel....tight work boys!

It has been a banner King fish season thus far and should remain that way until the temps in the Gulf reach 80 degrees. If you have ever wanted a shot at a big King-call Jawbreaker fishing charters today! We are your St.Pete Beach and Tampa Bay fishing connection, call now! Happy fishing folks, Capt.Dan
