Fishing with the Fishers from PA

When all else fails, fishing for the big toothy predators, there is always plan B. In this case, B stands for bottom fishing. Even on our 4-hour fishing charters we are always in reach of some action filled bottom fishing for Grouper, Snapper, Flounder, Jacks, Sharks....and the list goes on.

Friday's fishing charter, out of St.Pete Beach, demanded option B. Either way, our new friends, Sandra and Alex Fisher were all about being on the water....fishing! The Red Groupers were on fire, as usual this time of year, and the Snappers...Payday! Take a look at Sandra with a double-header of those big Grey Snapper that we will be hunting this coming Friday for the 1st Annual Grunt Wars fishing contest. Notes were taken!

Well, the Fishers were enjoying their fishing trip and, at one point, Alex had a big fish on that ate a flat-lined Threadfin. This fish had some weight to it and I had to walk the line around the entire boat. I am sure that it was a big Shark, that eventually got lucky. After a 20 minute battle...the fish won. Sorry Alex, you still have a great memory...of the big one that got away! The fish box still looked good enough at the end of the trip to feel worthy.

Jawbreaker fishing charters will do everything in our power to satisfy. If one thing isn't working, we try something else, if the big boys keep getting the best of us, we keep trying. Perseverance folks, it works almost every time. Happy fishing to Ya! Capt.Dan
