Fishing in Tampa Bays fish bowl

What can I say about 3 tons of Amberjack swimming around the boat, as if we were actually fishing in the fish bowl?! How about..take your pick? Sight-fishing in the offshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Man, it doesn't get any better, seriously, Jon was pulling live Sardines away from one fish to feed it to another, bigger, fish. Wow! In the first 30 minutes of fishing we had 2 monster Ajs in the fish box. And Kingfish,...let's just say, we found the nut!

This is it folks, fishing in the Tampa Bay area is hot, hot , hot....and so is the weather. Kingfish, Amberjack, Sharks, Bonitos...you name it, we have it. Today's offshore fishing trip, out of Pass-a-Grille on St.Pete Beach, was undoubtedly Great. I think our new friends from the Netherlands, Ben, Paul, Hans and Anja would agree. Check out Anja, above, with one of the many nice Kingfish that were gaffed by first mate, and photo companion, Jon West, good job crew!

Things have obviously been turned on by the recent cold front that pushed through on Saturday. If fishing stays this way I will be retiring earlier than thought. Just kidding,.. do what you love and the love just keeps coming. Check out more pics in our gallery in the next few days, and folks...Happy fishing. Capt. Dan
