Fishing in Tampa Bay for King and Spanish mackerel

Fishing in Tampa Bay and nearshore Gulf of Mexico is about as hot as it can get right now. Even though most Tampa Bay anglers would by-pass the Bonito as a "trash" fish, the fight is beyond that of any mackerel...pound-for-pound. Tampa fishing guides know the value of these hard fighting fish, even though they are not sought for table fare. Fishing on or near St.Pete beach, John's Pass, Indian Rocks and Clearwater beach will produce the best results. Expect to find a number of different species when trolling the Gulf coast.
