Family values and Tampa fishing charters

Some of our best Tampa fishing charters have the same ingredients...great families! It is one of the biggest joys of being a charter fishing Captain-that we meet such a wide variety of people. Meeting people with the same family values that we appreciate is always a plus, and usually a sure sign for a successful fishing trip.

We had 3 generations of family out on our charter boat last Friday. Our new friends were visiting from Indiana and had plans for a half-day fishing trip out of Pass-a-grille, St.Pete beach. With winds out of the southeast the horizon looked a little bumpy but the beach was flat. The kids, and grandparents opted for the calmer waters along the beach. We decided that trolling for mackerel was one of the better options for the kids...and the fish box!

It has been awhile since we have fished the beach, but all of the signs were there. Birds diving on the bait schools were all I needed to see to deploy some plners and spoons. Trolling with spoons at a speed of around 6 knots is a great way to cover ground. Once the fish are found, it is game on! Here is a proud father, Nick, checking out Sarah's first catch...nice Spanish mackerel. You go girl! This action continued for the whole trip and this family enjoyed an impressive fish box in the end.

Want to go fishing this summer? We want to take you. Gather your family and good friends and call Jawbreaker fishing charters. We are here to make your summer special. Whether it is trolling for 'macks' or bottom fishing for grouper, we are here for you and your family. Call today and ask whats biting. Happy fishing to ya! Capt. Dan
