Deep Sea fishing out of Pass a Grille Pass

Well another 4-hour deep sea fishing charter out of Pass-a-Grille, on St.Pete Beach, is under our belts. Even though we did not catch a Kingfish today, we tried everything we had....and had a great time doing it! Our new friends Bob, Brad, Hunter and Caleb were treated to some really good fishing today, with many large Gag Grouper coming over the rail, and then being released...Arrrgg!!!...

The threadfin and greenbacks are piling up on the Bayway bridge that leads to St.Pete Beach. We started out with a livewell packed full of beautiful Kingfish baits and headed for the Betty Rose wreck, about 10 miles West of John's Pass on Madeira Beach, FL. We caught about 7 or 8 big Spanish mackerel but no Kings...strange. The water temps are right at the perfect 72 degree mark and ready for the Kingfish action...but not today.

The Gag Grouper bite has been hot, and still is! Check out Brad with a hefty Gag Grouper caught in 45 feet. The Gags were hungry and we released about a half-dozen nice ones that will be legal in two months. Either way, it's the thrill of the chase as far as I am concerned. Book a trip with Jawbreaker fishing charters and be assured that there are always options. If the Kingfish aren't biting, then the Grouper are...or vise versa, you get the point! Happy fishing to Ya! Capt. Dan
