Banner day fishing with 3 generations

Fishing in the Tampa Bay area this time of year can be hit or miss. Tuesday's fishing charter, out of St.Pete Beach, was a hit! Corey Sullivan and his Dad, Pat, and Grandpa Don, were some of the most laid-back people I have ever met. Don is 78 years young and I would still put my money on him in a battle of wits, with anyone. These guys made our job easy, and it paid off...big time! Big fish-great times!

Corey wanted to treat his Dad and Grandpa to a fishing trip to remember, and they got it. The first stop, on a nearshore wreck, produced the first fish of the day-a 25+pound Kingfish, caught by Corey, I knew right then, this is going to be a good day. 5 minutes later...another one, except this King was a bit smaller at 9-10 pounds. Good job anyway Pat, the young ones tend to be more tender. A few more passes over the structure, without a sniff, and we were off to a new location. Having 6 to 8 hours to fish can make all the difference in the world this time of year, and we were just getting started.

The next stop turned out to be our last stop. Once again, it was like fishing in one giant fish bowl. We caught Spanish mackerels, several Barracuda, a 30-pound Cobia, Jacks, Sharks and the big bonus fish-of-the-day....drum roll please...this whopping 30-pound Permit...it ate a small Pass Crab, just dangled off the bottom. Nice fish Corey, check him out, pictured above with Pat, Don and Captain Dan....and the fish of a lifetime! Quick note: we spotted a young Sailfish working it's way to somewhere,.. Jon put on his seminar for the hook-up, to no avail,...we'll get em' next time. Pretty sight though.

Young or old, man or woman, ham-and-egger or rock star...Jawbreaker fishing charters pride ourselves in delivering the goods! We do not guarantee fish...we guarantee a fishing experience worth remembering. Call today, ask for Captain Dan and get in on the action...Jawbreaker style! Happy fishing, Capt.Dan
