Jimmie Johnson wins again

No, he was not driving the 48 car, but Grouper are back on the menu, and Jim Johnson was sure to put one on the plate for his family, Cathy,Mike,Tyler and Jake. With Grandpa Kerry hooking dinner for the crew, on the chicken-rig, the Johnsons' were busy catching as many grouper and snapper that they could get before returning to Chicago after a sunny spring break.

This fishing charter in Tampa, Florida was the norm for this time of year. Grouper fishing remains steady and the snapper are really starting to make a show. The gulls are working offshore in the murky water, but after a couple of days with East winds, we will start seeing the Mackerel arrive in numbers. Trolling planers and spoons are the quickest way to find a "hot-spot" with Kingfish and Spanish mackerel. Once these fish show up in great numbers...live bait rules!
