Grouper fishing in Tampa

Most Tampa Bay and St.Petersburg deep sea fishing guides are reporting the same thing. Lots of fish! We had the pleasure of taking another "very" repeat client today, John Clough(on the right) and brother-in-law, Stuart. The fish were finicky, but cooperative. This being a 4-hour charter fishing trip out of St.Pete beach, Pass-a-Grille gave us a enough time to hit the 52ft. mark...and the grouper were there.

With water temps in the low 70's, we are starting to see the bait pods show up. Finding the bait should produce the Kingfish, and of course, the Spanish mackerel. We only did bottom fishing on this trip but still came up with this 12lb. Kingfish , on a grouper fishing rig. Check out John and Stuart with a few Gag grouper and Kingfish they caught on the Jawbreaker!
