Fishing with good friends from Clearwater beach

There is almost no better feeling than seeing familiar faces on our charter boat. Dave Walker and crew, from Clearwater,Florida, have been chartering our fishing boat for the last 4 or 5 years. When Dave called me in early March for a fishing trip with the kids, I was ready to show them another great time on the water, and did!(read the report"Florida fishing charters rule!") When he called me the following week to book another charter fishing trip, I was honored.

This trip was very special as Dave's wife,Wendy, and sisters Pam, Jen and Meredith were celebrating Jen's birthday, oh, and this was a first-time fishing experience for the sisters as well. We really wanted to do some trolling for Kingfish and Spanish mackerel, but I explained that we did not have any success earlier in the day trolling and there were no 'signs' in the afternoon. This being our second fishing trip on Saturday, I went right to the good bottom fishing grounds that we have been having great results on.

This crew was on fire, Red and Gag grouper were coming over the rails left and right. For the first-timers on board...you could have fooled me! These girls were pros from the get go. As the bite slowed and we were getting ready to head back to the dock, a flock of gulls started working the water about a quarter mile from us. Can you say "no-brainer"? We quickly got our troll on and hooked this Bonito instantly! Check out Dave and the ladies with Mereidth's prize.(Pam is holding it)

All in all, another great charter fishing trip out of Pass-a-grille,St.Pete beach,Fl. with another great family. I love it when good clients become good friends. We look forward to seeing the Walkers on board the Jawbreaker again very soon.....catching big fish! The Kings are coming Dave. Until then....Happy fising to ya, Capt.Dan

What a great time we had. Perfect relaxation for a family reunion and celebration. The grunt were an awesome reward for dinner Saturday night. Wendy did a great job preparing them.
And what a treat to land the first bonita of the season.
Thanks for being part of the Big 'O' for Jenn.
Hope to see you again soon.
