Another great Tampa fishing charter

Deep sea fishing in the Tampa Bay area is getting hotter by the minute. Grouper fishing is in full swing, and with Gag Grouper being back on the 'keeper' list, Tampa fishing guides are experiencing a little relief being able to finally put a few in the box for our clients. Last Friday's fishing charter out of Pass-a-grille, on St.Pete Beach, did just that! John, Adam, JR, Ryan, Carter and James had a great time catching dinner...and then some!

With a strong cold front approaching, and rough seas, we were limited to about 40 feet on this fishing trip, but that was all it took anyway. The Gag Grouper were being finicky at first and the bite was sporadic, but as the tide changed so did the action. Our crew of 6 were hauling big Groupers over the rail as if somebody just flipped a switch and turned them on. Gag Groupers up to 15 pounds, Red Grouper and snapper were filling the box...and Kingfish, let's just say...Fish On! 3 smoker Kings made their way into our spread, gave these fellas an exciting show and were quickly gaffed, bled and released into the fish box as well. Good times on the Jawbreaker! Check out James with hefty Gag Grouper....and sore arms!
